Both box types have a hidden setup menu to change the connection mode, however it's probably easier to simply do a reset to factory defaults. Your HD box doesn't think it has two cables. Like all Humax boxes a single tuner can handle two channels at the same time provided they share a transponder/mux. Select TV instead of HDTV. I had to do a factory reset to stop it happening. Photograph your recording schedule first as you will have to re-enter them. I also have had the EPG not fully populating all the channels. My quick fix is 1.USE The FreeviewPlay button and Select Guide, all information is there.2. Reset password. Reset password. Set Top Boxes; Recordable 4K TV Box; 4K TV Box; Refurbished; 95% customers satisfied with Freesat as their TV provider: Samsung universal remote. 28-09-2020 09:45 AM - last edited ‎28-09-2020 09:46 AM. Recently purchased samsung smart tv and set up with my humax freesat box. All worked fine and also had the remote set up to control both tv and humax box. Then last week the remote stopped operating the humax box. I have reset everything on both tv and humax but Freesat from Sky wont allow you to record anything anyway, without paying a fee! The older Humax Foxsat HDR box is the one you need if you want to archive/transfer your recordings. It's possible to archive HD too, with the custom firmware and a patch installed, although obviously the file sizes are rather large. Have just spoken to Humax Technical support. The technical support chap said my sound problems were to do with my sharp TV they said there are no problems with the HDR-2000T. Looks like im on my own. Humax are offering no help. The box is not compatible with some tvs (humax refuse to acknowledge this) | Fri 27 Dec 2013 10:50:10 #9 |. mark412. If your box displays the clock 24/7 it means you have turned off the default low power standby mode (any reason why ?). It's possible to force a factory reset using a usb stick. Hopefully Barry will post a link to the file required. Similary a freesat re-tune should also request a postcode, can you check that this happens ? If you are needing to do a factory reset in order to reset the pin, then obviously this is not going to work. I wonder if anyone knows of a workaround for this one. Some of the Humax boxes have a pin reset "backdoor" that usually involves navigating to the status screen and then pressing sequences of the red/yellow/green/blue buttons. If the Freesat box freezes and becomes unresponsive, turn the power off for a full 30 seconds and then turn on the mains supply again. If that didn’t work try opening the settings menu (if possible) and try a factory reset. Once the box starts up again check your scheduled recordings and reapply if necessary. As sometimes resetting removes grahamlthompson. You can if I remember correctly, change the postcode by running a freesat tune. It will still delete your recording schedule though. There's no point in retaining series recordings for expired series. They will be auto deleted after 13 weeks so the codes can be recycled. zERFg.
