Removethe rear wheel Make sure the ground is level and firm and place the motor- cycle on its stand. Remove axle nut 2. Remove quick-release axle 6 and remove adjusting plate 7. This morning out of the blue my BMW F650GS did not want to start, the dashboard showed no activity, just the clock, which then stopped working when I turned the ignition key. I then charged the battery (tested it to see that its 12-13volts) put it back into 1 Cold starting with a bit of throttle (one of my bikes requires it below 60 degrees) 2. Starting it only after waiting a real long time after you turn the key to let the pump pressurize more. 3. unhook airbox sensor- sometimes null is better than a bad reading. 4. unhook exhaust sensor. #5. Its too soft when I'm all loaded up on a trip. The Dakar takes a load WAY better than a KLR or XR and I like the accessories availablity. I have had NO problems, and as I said I run it pretty hard. I would highly recommend the DAKAR for anyone who likes to cover some country, on the street or two track fire trails. BMWF650GS Dakar. Long-Term Wrap-Up.
