The introduction, primarily because Fallout 3 needed to have one. As a predominantly PC franchise from ~10 years earlier, Fallout 3 was tasked with the responsibility of introducing the franchise to a whole new generation of gamers. The game condensed a surprising amount of world building and key concepts into just the first thirty minutes. 3 first then new vegas, you'll see the progression like being able to ADS, and the addition of factions etc. Fallout 3 will definitely ease you into the gameplay, I'd recommend looking into some mods to make the game more stable but it isn't required. Dan-the-historybuff. New Vegas has a lot more variety than oblivion and sometimes oblivion’s story can get really repetitive and boring. [deleted] I love Oblivion, but you should get New Vegas. Both are amazing as rpgs with a lot of choices, but TES 4's combat consists of spamming r1 with the occasional block (unless you use bows or magic). Yes, I really liked it and had pretty much no issues with bugs or save files. dueljester • 12 yr. ago. Gamewise if your fan of Fallout 3, Fallout NV plays like a much stronger expansion back (attention to detail, writing). As for the on the PS3, if you have the option for getting it for the PC I'd say get it on the PC. Get the Witcher 3 and the dlc. So much better than Fallout 4. To be fair towards The Witcher 3, it is still widely seen as one of the best-rated games of all time while Fallout 4 is just up there in the sea of pretty good games. Fallout 4 isn't a bad game, but it is being compared to one of the best. In terms of quality, Bethesda's Fallout 4 is the clear forerunner and does a lot of things better than Fallout: New Vegas. But in general, New Vegas takes more time making NPCs feel like fully developed characters while Fallout 3 settles for much broader strokes. It's fine but New Vegas feels like a massive leap forward. Also, this is more subjective but in New Vegas it feels like you're making a real difference. Yeah I guess fo3 looks way better than new vegas tho maybe it’s just the colour pallets of the game f03 is a lot of green and greys where as fallout new vegas is a lot off browns oranges and yellows all like objectively ugly colours in And it will ease the future transition into FNV, because FNV gameplay is based on Fo3 gameplay. Overall I'd suggest you to go with 76, exhaust the story content and then continue with Fallout 3 and after than with New Vegas. New Vegas while old is the better game . Get new vegas, just to play the old world blues DLC. 3 takes the opposite approach and relies more on quest markers as a means of guidance. To my knowledge, I never had to rethink and go around an area due to enemies in 3, but that is commonplace in NV. Wow. That actually is a better explanation than I could give props. 250 votes, 76 comments. true. E6FS.
